Through her work, Lena Chao learned that 120 billion plastic units are created yearly, and approximately only 9% are recycled. The rest ends up in oversea landfills, specifically in Asian countries. Flabbergasted that these countries bear the waste burden, she launched Clean Circle to tackle the beauty waste problem and address climate impact on skin health. With an unwavering belief that sustainable beauty products should be accessible, modern, and impactful, we can positively bring equity to beauty.
